Learner experience (how quizzes behave in a course)
Random question sequence
IMPORTANT
At the time of viewing the course, the quiz questions appear in a random sequence.
This means:
- Two learners may see the same quiz questions in a different order.
- The order can also change between attempts.
- If Limit number of questions is enabled, the quiz randomly selects which questions appear in that attempt.
Feedback flow
- Feedback On: after submitting an answer, feedback is shown and the learner clicks Next question.
- Feedback Off: after submitting an answer, the quiz automatically moves to the next question (or finishes the quiz).
Finishing a quiz attempt
After the learner answers all required questions, they must click Finish quiz to complete the attempt and view their score.
Retakes (attempt limits)
- If Limit number of attempts is enabled and the learner reaches the maximum, the quiz will not offer Start New Attempt.
- If attempt limiting is disabled, learners can start new attempts as needed.
Save and publish changes
Quiz question and settings changes are only applied after you click Save in the editor.
